Dallas is one of the most important World Cup 2026 venues — AT&T Stadium in Arlington hosts 9 matches including a Semi-Final on July 15. The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is massive (7 million people), so choosing the right neighbourhood makes a huge difference to your experience.

Uptown Dallas — Best Overall

Uptown is the most vibrant neighbourhood in Dallas — a walkable grid of restaurants, bars, boutiques, and hotels just north of downtown. It's the social hub of the city and where most fans will naturally gravitate for pre and post-match celebrations.

  • Best for: Nightlife, dining, solo fans and couples
  • Average nightly rate: $160–$380
  • Transport to AT&T Stadium: 20 min via I-30 (Uber/Lyft recommended)
  • Top hotels: The Crescent Court, Hotel ZaZa, Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek
  • Best bars: McKinney Avenue strip has 30+ bars and restaurants

Uptown Dallas has a free streetcar (McKinney Avenue Transit Authority) that runs along McKinney Ave. It's a great way to get around the neighbourhood without a car.

Arlington — Closest to AT&T Stadium

If stadium proximity is your priority, Arlington is the obvious choice. AT&T Stadium is right there — you can walk from many hotels. The Arlington Entertainment District has Texas Live!, Globe Life Field, and dozens of bars and restaurants within walking distance of the stadium.

  • Best for: Fans who want to walk to the stadium, groups
  • Average nightly rate: $130–$320
  • Transport to AT&T Stadium: Walking distance (5–15 min)
  • Top hotels: Loews Arlington Hotel, Sheraton Arlington, Hilton Arlington
  • Best pre-match: Texas Live! sports bar complex right next to the stadium

Downtown Dallas — Best for Business Travellers

Downtown Dallas has the highest concentration of hotels and is well-connected by the DART light rail. It's more corporate than Uptown but has excellent hotel options at competitive prices. The Arts District and Deep Ellum (for nightlife) are both nearby.

  • Best for: Business travellers, fans who want central location
  • Average nightly rate: $140–$350
  • Transport to AT&T Stadium: 20 min via I-30 or DART + shuttle
  • Top hotels: Omni Dallas, Adolphus Hotel, Hyatt Regency Dallas
  • Nearby: Dallas Arts District, Klyde Warren Park, Deep Ellum

Deep Ellum — Best for Music & Culture

Deep Ellum is Dallas's creative heart — a neighbourhood of live music venues, street art, craft breweries, and independent restaurants. It's east of downtown and has a handful of boutique hotels. Perfect for fans who want to experience the real Dallas between matches.

  • Best for: Music fans, younger travellers, those who want local culture
  • Average nightly rate: $120–$280
  • Transport to AT&T Stadium: 25 min via I-30
  • Best for: Post-match nightlife — dozens of live music venues open late

Frisco / Plano — Best for Families

The northern suburbs of Frisco and Plano offer excellent family-friendly hotels at lower prices. They're further from the stadium (30–40 min) but have great amenities, safe neighbourhoods, and easy highway access to AT&T Stadium.

  • Best for: Families, fans on a budget, those with rental cars
  • Average nightly rate: $100–$250
  • Transport to AT&T Stadium: 30–40 min via highway
  • Top hotels: Omni Frisco, Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West

Dallas in June/July is extremely hot — temperatures regularly hit 100°F (38°C). Make sure your hotel has a pool and good air conditioning. This is not optional.
